POSITION SUMMARY:

Works within a multidisciplinary team, which includes physiotherapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), nursing, physicians, and Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) staff (i.e. Care Coordinators).

Qualifications

·         Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma or equivalent.

·         Must possess the ability to relate to the clients in a tactful and sympathetic                manner and to communicate effectively with people at all levels when                        relaying or obtaining information.

·         Must have the physical ability to stoop, bend, and reach.

·         Must possess the ability to understand instructions and to exercise good                    judgment.

·         Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

·         French Language Service Designation: Bilingualism, English and French, is                   required. In accordance with the French Language Services Plan, if no bilingual           candidates (both internal and external) meet the qualifications, unilingual                   candidates may be considered.
